Scope of 5G Wireless Mobile Network Communications

What are the future scopes of 5G next generation new radio millimeter wave wireless network.

     5G New Radio Millimeter wave mobile wireless network technology is rolling out worldwide. It is on verge of experiencing of next generation Gbps speed mobile network for end user. In this post I will explain scope of 5g upcoming cellular new radio millimeter wave wireless technology. There is immense scope for 5g network technology. Many cities has already build up 5g network and available for commercial use. Samsung LG Huawei Xiaomi has already launched 5g Smartphone. Most of the Google Pixel mobile supports latest technology so definitely very soon Google will announce 5g support mobile.

Scope of 5G Mobile wireless network.

1) Revenue generate – 5g network spectrum band is having more price compare to 4G. This will generate good capital for every nation for development. 5G spectrum band using high frequency band. And it has more free channel compare to 4G and hence more bidder for 5g spectrum compare to other spectrum.

2) eMBB Enhanced Mobile Broadband – as we all know 3GPP 5G NR standard aims 20 Gbps speed. Many test carrier out and achieved in Gbps speed. It is said that with 5G users can get speed 40 t0 50 times higher than 4G network.

3) Virtual Reality Video – football match is going on at Russia or Germany and you are watching that match at your home USA. And you have feeling like stadium this is called Virtual Reality Video. After 5g network we can enjoy VR live video streaming using 5g supported spectacles glasses or goggles.

4) Argument Reality – AR is addition of real image and logical or virtually created images.  But final product looks absolute real.  This is the scope of 5G mobile network technology. For example for car game, first real time high way traffic recorded and also interior city road traffic recorded. Now here more virtual challenges are added to this. Or you can argument / value added to it. So when you play car game you feel it is real.

5) Self driving vehicle car or Artificial Intelligence - Self driving car look feasible after 5g wireless network. At present test are carried out on trial road. Here no human inputs require. Entire vehicle is controlled by software programs. Latency is very less in 5g NR wireless network.  So get real time data transfer and response time will become as good as live. Vehicle is remotely connected with Wireless network.  Traffic and road transport will be automated and self controlled.

6) Drone – in simple term drone is moving flying camera which are remotely controlled. With 5G network we can have real time data and live steaming of situation using drone. Which is very helpful in emergency situation. For example if fire occur in complex or water flood in city then we can have live steaming by drone so it avoid human casualty. It becomes very helpful in rescue operation.

7) Robotics and medical field – As we know there are many specialist doctor. But doctor stays at other countries. Now if you ask for doctor services who can travel long distance then it will become very costly. But using robots and 5g network doctor can check patient remotely and can perform operation using robot using 5g wireless network live steaming. 5G will make new revolution in medical sector.

8) Internet of Things (IoTs) - Internet of Things meaning is connecting many things together for better functionality. At present we have 5G, 4G LTE and 3g mobile network. We can connect wirelessly to our home light system you can power off it using mobile. You can connect to office camera and computer using 5g network and take file folder from your computer. Connecting CCTV system, home appliances and other gadgets.

Germany France 5G high speed network rollout information

Germany France 5G Mobile Network Quintessential Details.

  German national agency Bundesnetzagentur has declared on 28/11/2018 to accept application for 5g spectrum band auction till 25 January, 2019. Auction will happen in mid 2019. They ask company to develop urban as well as rural for better mobile and communication network. Here is the frequency range which allocated for 5G services. 3.7GHz to 3.8GHz and 26 GHz.  Frequency range from 2.4GHz and 5 GHz are for wireless broadband field. Germany has already auctioned spectrum 700MHz way back in 2015 which will available from 2019 for network carrier.

DT Deutsche Telekom (T-mobile) has started building 5g site at Berlin it has deployed six 5g antennas in May 2018 and will add 70 more at different sites. These antennas are working on 3.7 GHz band based on 5g new radio MIMO technology offer Gbps speed. Their future plan includes 27000 mobile base station / antenna sites for 5g wireless communication. They will use fiber to connect base station for high speed 5g network.  Deutsche Telekom will add 2000 new antenna site every year. At present they are working on 27000 mobile antenna sites. These antenna sites are based on S RAN single Radio Access network.

Telefonica (O2) and Nokia join hand for developing 5G innovation cluster. They will make trial at Munich lab and then onsite testing at Berlin using 4.5G and 5G network.  This test include Nokia’s latest technology include innovation cluster with Massive MIMO, MEC Multi-access Edge Computing for low latency along with active antenna technology. This cluster sites spans to five Nokia site using 5G Airscale radio.

France 5G network development and roll out.

               ARCEP Regulatory authority for electronic communications and post confirm 5g spectrum band allocation for frequency range 1400MHz, 3400 -3800MHz and 26GHz. France has already extend deal for  900MHz, 1800NHz and 2100MHz spectrum. France aim that by 2020 at least their smart city or metro city will have commercial 5G network.
Bouygues Telecom along with Ericsson and Qualcomm, on 4th January, 2019  carried out 5g test on real condition using 3GPP Release15 5G New Radio non standalone standard equipment like  Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem as terminal connected to ERICSSON 6488 active radio antennas as host at Lyon site using 3.5GHz frequency band. They are currently preparing 5g network at 11 cities of France.  In other test Bouygues Telecom achieve speed of 25Gbps latency only 3ms using Ericsson radio base station with active 5G antennas. Bouygues is currently installing urban micro cell as well as setting up Cloud RAN network and connecting radio site using fiber cable.

Orange has already conducted 5G related tests at chatillon and also doing test at Lille and Douai. Orange gets permission from ARCEP to use 3.7-3.8GHz band. Orange has used 3GPP standard Intel mobile platform and Ericsson host network involve virtual core network along with 5G active antennas. Orange plans to build new mobile antenna site which support both 4G and MIMO 5G. Nokia and Kathrein will develop antenna.

SFR has high speed 4G+ network which can provide 300Mbps speed. Along with that SRF has done test on 3.5GHz band at Velizy and achieved 1Gbps speed. SRF has started 5g roll out and full fledged commercial 5G services available in 2020.

South Africa 5g massiveMIMO network upgrade details

South Africa 5G Mobile Network unequivocal Information.

         In 2017 ICASA Independent communication authority of South Africa organize meeting for 5g frequency spectrum band auction and to decide strategy for 5G network development for country.  In September 2018 ICASA decide to auction  for 700MHz, 800MHz and 2.6GHz for mobile service but date has not been declared and in October 2018, 3.5 GHz spectrum allotted for 5G services but auction date is not fixed. 

MTN and Ericsson join hand to start 5g network at South Africa. They have build trail site at Midrand near Johannesburg. They are doing test on 28GHz frequency band, Ericsson provides host /access point for 5g new radio millimeter wave high caliber antenna while Intel 5G mobile platform act as a client which connect to 5G network.

RAIN partner with Nokia for 5g roll out at South Africa.  They start building 5G site from beginning of 2019. Commercial available after second quarter as 5G smartphone gadgets will be available at that time. Nokia will develop 5G WI-Fi network communication site at Western, Northern & Eastern Cape, Kwa-zulu, Natal and Mangaung.  This use Nokia 5G infrastructure called AirScale radio access which includes AirScale base station, High caliber antenna with massive MIMO, cloud RAN, airframe and Wi-Fi controller.

Vodacom has initiated 5G services for limited customer from august 2018 at Lesotho using 3.5GHz band offer 700Mbps download speed, 100 Mbps upload speed and 9ms latency. Yet fully commercial services has not started as they are deploying network. They also tested live sport using VR Video. Vodacom also have large fiber network for high speed broadband.
